The Area The Venue The Event The Event Cilla Cameron In 2012 the Reeth Rug Retreat takes place between the 14th and the 17th of September. Cilla Cameron will be running the on-site shop and ensuring it is well-stocked with rug making materials and equipment. Cilla will also give short talks and demonstrations on 'Hints, Tips and Techniques' at the weekend. Heather Ritchie Reeth's very own rug maker, Heather Ritchie, will take classes on Mandalas at this year's Retreat. Heather often travels abroad to teach rug making and has recently started Rug Aid, an organisation to help some of the poorest communities in Africa. Ingrid Hieronimus The owner of Ragg Tyme Studio and School of Rug Hooking in Ontario, Canada, Ingrid is an Ontario Hooking Craft Guild member and McGown-certified teacher with a certificate in Fibre Arts. She is well-known throughout Canada and America as a teacher, dyer and rug hooker and is the author of three books about dyeing. Ingrid has been hooking for 30 years and teaching for about 18 years. Celia Charlton This is Celia's second visit to Reeth Rug Retreat. She lives in Nova Scotia and teaches a variety of workshops including mixed cut pictorials, geometrics, dyeing and using alternative fibres. Celia is a member of the Teachers’ branch of The Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia and of The International Guild of Handhooking Rugmakers (TIGHR).
